چکیده
Abstract Background New SCORE 2 algorithm overperformed in population with decreasing prevalence of cardiovascular (CV) morbidity and mortality. However, there is limited data risk stratification model contemporary populations from very high countries. Aim The aim this study was to compare prediction using the proportions patients requiring statin treatment primary prevention. Methods Our included 1317 (511, 38.8% male gender, average age 54±8) without known CV disease aged 40 70 years. Data on factors were prospectively collected 20 care centers throughout Serbia January 2020. December Based profile, stratified into 4 categories: low, moderate, according 3 low model. number assessed category value LDL cholesterol non-HDL Results Overall, 589 (44.7%) smokers, mean total 6.2±1.1 mmol/L, 3.9±1.1, HDL 1.4±0.5, non 4.8±1.2 mmol/L. Systolic blood pressure 138.6±19.6, diastolic 85.3±10.4 mmHg BMI 26.9±5.2. 166 (12.6%) classified category, 658 (49.9%) 276 (20.9%) 217 (16.6%) category. 30 (2.8%) 273 (18%) 1014 (79.2%) There significantly less moderate group compared (30, 2.8% vs 824, 62.6%, p<0.001 respectively) more (1014, 79.2% 217, 16.6%, p<0.001), but significance difference (Figure 1). use resulted higher proportion 93% vs. 43% (p<0.001). Prediction of Melanoma Risk in a Southern European Population Based on a Weighted Genetic Risk Score.
Many single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been described as putative risk factors for melanoma. The aim of our study was to validate the most prominent genetic risk loci in an independent Greek melanoma case-control dataset and to assess their cumulative effect solely or combined with established phenotypic risk factors on individualized risk prediction. We genotyped 59 SNPs in 800 patie...
متن کاملComparison of three different osteoporosis risk assessment tools: ORAI (osteoporosis risk assessment instrument), SCORE (simple calculated osteoporosis risk estimation) and OST (osteoporosis self-assessment tool)
Background :SCORE, OST and ORAI risk assessment tools could reduce the cost burden of BMD tests by selecting the high risk patients to osteoporosis. In this study we compared the ability of these risk assessment measures to assess probability of the osteoporosis among post-menopausal women. Methods : 211 post-menopausal women aged 45-88 years enrolled into the study. All of the patients und...

متن کاملcomparison of prediction between timi (thrombolysis in myocardial infarction) risk score and modified timi risk score in discharged patients from emergency department with atypical chest pain
conclusions: the results obtained from this study support the idea that the timi and modified timi risk scores might be valuable tools that could be used to stratify the risk of patients with atypical chest pain in the emergency department. results: no significant difference could be observed between both groups regarding demographic characteristics, ejection fraction, left ventricle hypertroph...
متن کاملComparison of Diabetes Risk Score Estimates and Cardiometabolic Risk Profiles in a Middle-Aged Irish Population
BACKGROUND To compare diabetes risk assessment tools in estimating risk of developing type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and to evaluate cardiometabolic risk profiles in a middle-aged Irish population. METHODS Future risk of developing T2DM was estimated using 7 risk scores, including clinical measures with or without anthropometric, biological and lifestyle data, in the cross-sectional Mitchelstown coho...
